About Us
We are Gary and Barb, a married owner/operator team, drivers of a straight truck that also serves as our RV and office. In June of 2008 we stepped off of the riverbank of life as spectators, into the streaming flow of life itself, to experience and create a business and lifestyle together based on hard work and positive expectations.
While driving, I would routinely create a “travel log” in my head describing experiences that we encountered in running our “hotshot” trucking business. When it was not my turn to drive, I'd write out the “log” from memory, and apply pictures of the events. When it was Barb's turn to drive, she would create travel logs in her head, based on our experiences on the road from her viewpoint. The final product became a travel log that I would send to family and friends known collectively as “The Book Club.” Given the delight they experienced following our travels, travails and lifestyle, Club members would often encourage me to write a book about our adventures.
